MG ZA Mille Miglia 1956 #301 Grant by K & R Replicas
Another 1956 Mille Miglia MG but this time a four door saloon Magnette which was the company car of then Autosport Editor Gregor Grant. Apparently the BMC Competitions dept were too busy to prepare the car for him, so it was given to the factory service centre who made a few upgrades ready for Grant to tackle the event solo! Despite a number of problems including valve damage that left the car running on three cylinders and a broken driver's side windscreen wiper, he finished fourth in class! The model is, as might be expected, basically a standard MG Magnette with race numbers added and the parts are well thought out and cleanly cast.

About K & R Replicas
Well cast and easy to build, if rather crude, metal kits. Usually accurate though occasionally a bit odd. Wire wheels of the self - assembly type. Decals, when included, often slightly yellow (typical of many English makers) but will bleach with exposure to u.v. light. Now including a little more photo-etch. Made in England.
