Ferrari 512M Can-Am 1971 #6 Sunoco
One of the more famous privately entered 512Ms, Roger Penske’s Sunoco-backed car had retired from the Watkins Glen Six Hours with steering issues and was then side-lined in the Can-Am race the following day with a holed piston. The car ran with the headlights taped over for the Can-Am race and this area is rather rough on our sample which is otherwise well finished and matches race photos in terms of decal placement and minor details.
