Delahaye 145 V12 Cabriolet Franay 1946 Metallic Blue by Matrix
This dramatic machine started life as a factory race car in 1937, the chassis being acquired post-war by a French enthusiast who had it shipped to Franay to be rebodied creating a fast touring road car. The new combination made its debut at the Paris Salon in 1946, scooping best of show and went on to do similar at several concourse events over the next couple of years. In restored form it is a regular on the modern concours scene and it form the restored car that it has been modeled. Matrix has done an excellent job of the lines and the small details are neatly fitted over a very fine metallic blue paint finish to make a very attractive miniature.

From the original creators of the Neo range, this resincast series offers a wide range of mostly road car subjects. Some are very familiar classics but we also see plenty of very rare and usual machines ranging from Maharajah's Rolls Royces to Citroen and Volvo limousines! Overall casting quality is excellent, paint finishes usually to a very high standard and plenty of fine etch used for small trim. Wire wheels on some subjects can be a little unconvincing but otherwise very consistent. Made in China.
