Chassis 123696 originally appeared in naked form at the 1935 Paris salon, where it was bought by American banker Dr Charles Crocker, who had it sent to Saoutchik to weave their magic. The coachbuilder said that the design would be "as handsomely received half a century from now as it will today." and it certainly stands out. It is a unique piece with the spare wheel fairings being of particular note and the car has been preserved rather than restored over the years,
