Bugatti T38 Tourer Lavocat & Marsaud 192 by Carbone - Chromes
Bugatti 38 Tourer Lavocat & Marsaud grey/orange
These two models depict the same car in different stages of its long life. The open four seat tourer body by Lavocat & Marsaud is the original, although we’re unsure what colour it started life. It may well have been the grey and orange which certainly stands out and we have found undated photos of the car in these colours. A restoration took place in the early 00s and the car was dark blue when sold at auction in 2007. Photos taken at Essen in 2009 show that the car has been painted solid grey in the meantime.

About Carbone - Chromes
High quality resin & metal hand built models, usually of very rare coachbuilt machines on exotic chassis. Excellent level of finish puts them among the best 1:43 miniatures available. Presentation also very smart, usually with a wooden edged and leatherette insert to the display base. Production numbers in this series usually only in double figures, making for very rare pieces. Made in France.
