Paul Frere: The Story of Paul Frere: Journalist and Racing Car Driver by Book
Paul Frere, The Story Paul Frere
Weight 1.6kg by Serge Dubois
Paul Frere’s primary employment was as a writer and journalist (writing in many languages) and in order to fully appreciate the machines he was reviewing he needed to understand them technically and be able to extract the best performance from them. This took him to occasional racing exploits and this extremely capable driver started several Grand Prix races, scoring a podium finish and also won Le Mans in 1960, at which point he hung up his helmet and concentrated on the writing career that would last another fifty years. This is an affectionate look at a man about whom we’ve never seen a bad word and it is packed with photos covering his bust ninety-one years on the planet.
