Ferrari 166SC Targa 1950 #455 Marzotto by Jolly Model

Ferrari 166SC Targa Florio 1950 #455 Marzotto
This chassis, #121, was the ninth Ferrari built and it started life with a cycle-fendered body being driven to some success, including Bracco winning the Italian hillclimb championship in 1949. At the end of that season it was bought by Vittorio Marzotto, the first of many Ferraris to grace that famous family stable, and was re-bodied by Fontana in a similar style to the Touring Barchetta, though with a slightly shorter tail. Jolly Model have done a reasonable job of the shape, although that tail is a little on the long side, but the finish is very good with decent paint and carefully placed decals. Marzotto had only just got the car back in time from Fontana for the Targa Florio and was running well before stopping to help another competitor in serious danger.
