Williams FW08C Test 1983 Senna 1:18 by Minichamps
Donington Park was the scene of the Williams test day in July 1983 when promising F3 driver, Ayrton Senna, had his first taste of F1 power. It was a well-documented occasion so we have plenty of photos to compare Minichamps’ model with. Overall, they’ve done a very good job both on the shape and the detailing. The two-tone white and green paint finish is excellent, all decals are correctly placed and complete. On the front wing we see a very subtle carbon texture, although at the rear the elements are simply painted satin black. There’s proper mesh over the engine intakes and the driver figure, often a let-down for Minichamps, is well sculpted and his seat belts have fine buckles.

One of the market leaders in die-cast models. Good shapes, excellent paint and decoration. 1:43rds are kerbside while 1:18ths often have plenty of opening parts with engine and interior detail within. Also an increasing number of 1:43 resincast models. Made in China.
