BRM V16 1st Goodwood 1952 #5 Gonzalez 1:18 by SMTS
With modern Formula One so regulated technically, a machine such as the BRM V16 could never happen today, but in the late 1940s the Owen organisation decided that a supercharged 1.5 litre V16 was the way to go. It has to be one of the most spectacular sounding machines ever to hit a race track and on the rare occasions it didn’t break, it was fast too.
Frolian Gonzalez recorded a win at Goodwood in 1952 and it is in this form that English artisan model makers SMTS, working alongside the current BRM company, have produced this beautiful hand built miniature as a limited edition of 100 individually numbered examples.
