Lancia Beta Montecarlo Silverstone 6hrs 1979 #51 Patrese/Rohrl by Spark

The first new circuit race car from Lancia in eight years, the Beta Monte Carlo Turbo made its race debut at Silverstone in June 1979. In the capable hands of Patrese and Rohrl it qualified seventh but failed to finish the race due to head-gasket failure. The shape and detailing of the car look to be very good and as usual from Spark the model is finished to a high standard.

About Spark

The range which changed the 1:43 model market and for which we coined the term 'resincast'. Resin rather than traditional diecast bodies mean that relatively short production runs can be made and what might be marginal subjects become viable. Quality is very consistent with plenty of fine etch used where necessary. A huge range is the result, covering all aspects of (mostly postwar) motorsport and a wide variety of road cars. We typically see around 30 new subjects released per month and pre-orders are strongly recommended. Made in China
