Ferrari 512BB Le Mans 1978 #88 Thomson 1:18 by Tecnomodel
Ferrari road cars transformed into full-blown racers are always intriguing and this large-scale modelin brash white-over-red, with white wheels and exhausts is certainly striking. It depicts one of a pair of 512BBs entered by Ferrari's French importer, Charles Pozzi, under the JMS Racing team label. Sadly neither finished the race, retiring in the 18th and 22nd hours. Car #88 lasted the longest, driven by successful rallyist Jean-Claude Andruet and the talented all-rounder Spartaco Dini who had helped Ferrari develop the 512BB. You can easily pick out their names on the doors of this beautiful replica, which is impeccably finished both inside and out. Weighing in at nearly two kilos, it makes a great "statement piece" that will appeal to Le Mans and Ferrari collectors alike.
