Ferrari 312S Spa 1958 #9 by Faenza 43

There were two Grands Prix at Spa in 1958, the European Grand Prix in F1 and a sportscar race a month or so earlier in which Olivier Gendebien drove this Ferrari loaned by the factory to Equipe National Belge. This appears to be the only outing for the car (chassis 0744MI) in this form as it was re-engined soon after to become a 412MI and shipped to America where it raced with some success. The model is well finished with very good paint and one unusual detail is the very small race numbers.

Charming hand-built resin models of interesting and often obscure subjects. The various Ferrari and Maserati machines which ended up in SCCA races of the late 50s and early 60s are a particular speciality, but also plenty of machines raced in Europe too. Paint finishes sometimes a little flat )or should that be more realistic!?) but otherwise very good. Made in Italy.
