HWM-Alta Monaco 1955 #24 Whiteaway by Jade Miniatures
Kit available JAD43157
This was the very last HWM single-seat race car and it appeared at the Monaco Grand Prix as a private entry for Ted Whiteaway in his only World Championship outing, but he failed to qualify. The shape of the car was rather unusual with a large bulge for the Alta engine making it look as if it has a squashed nose. The shape of the body on Jade’s model looks pretty good and is smartly finished in a suitably dark shade of green. The wire wheels are neatly painted and there is subtle detail painting on the exhausts.

About Jade Miniatures
A well established range of well thought out kits and hand built models of competition cars, mostly from the golden era of the 1950s and 60s. The kits are generally pretty simple with well cast resin bodies, small numbers of resin and white metal ancillaries and a modest amount of etch. In the case of open wheeled subjects, the etch usually includes most or all of the suspension. Hand builts generally well finished. Made in France.
