We’re used to seeing Arena casting bumpers and spoilers separately on their 1:43 Porsches to allow more versions to be made from the same basic body but they take things a little further with this very well thought out 1:24 kit. At first glance it looks as if there are bubbles in the main resin moulding but flip it over and you will see numbered markings on the inside of the bonnet for various filler caps on the inside. The instructions then tell which filler is right for the this model, though personally we would blank off the unused dimples with some filler to re-enforce before painting. The moulding is generally good throughout with just small feedtags and light flash to remove and at the rear of the car there is a very crisply cast engine which will give plenty of opportunities to play with paint effects. There is plenty of etch for window frames, brake and wheel parts and lots of other fine details, right down to wiring clips to go on the floor inside the car. There isn’t actually any wiring included though, but the more advanced modellers among you may wish to add some. Overall, a very nicely made kit though lacking in the aforementioned wiring (DM1029/DM1030) and you may find some extra reference photos handy alongside the fairly generic instructions
