Porsche 930 Gr4 Monte Carlo 1980 Haldi
We’re used to seeing the Meccarillos colours on circuit racing Porsches but with Haldi at the wheel this 911 Turbo took part in the Monte, finishing twenty-third overall. The clearly printed decals replicate the livery well and as usual for an Arena 911 derivative, the bumpers and engine cover are separate parts. There’s plenty of etch including shields for the underside and our only query is the wheels. All photos that we have from 1980 show the cars in the mountains and there was a lot of snow around, so if you have some narrow rims and tyres in the spares box you may wish to swap those for the wide items in the kit, retaining the excellent etched centres.

Accurate, well detailed resin kits with white metal ancillaries and excellent photo-etched details. Instructions sometimes slightly vague but normally adequate. Castings on some subjects can be a little rough but more recent releases have all been excellent. Due to the amount of etch, they can be quite fiddly to build but in experienced hands make excellent miniatures. Hand built models also available to order. Made in Italy.
