Jaguar XJS Bathurst 1986 Citibank by Automodelli Studio
We’ve seen similar parts before for the Group A TWR Jaguars from Automodelli but this was a locally built car and subtly different beneath. That means that there is the odd modification to be made such as trimming the exhausts off on the right hand side of the chassis. We’re also not convinced that the wheels are quite big enough as they seem to be a little lost in the arches, particularly at the rear. Decals are a mix of a new print for this kit and one that was done many years ago for a Motul car, the latter is purely for lights and a few other odds and ends. The Citibank logos on the sides of the car were chrome but are in plain silver here, an understandable compromise as chrome decals are not viable in the quantities that these kits are produced in. Overall an interesting subject but one that will need a little effort.

About Automodelli Studio
An interesting range of mostly Australian oriented subjects. Some subjects are based on other makers' castings where suitable (Marsh Models, Jemmpy & SMTS the most commonly used) while others are made entirely in house. Decals often laser or inkjet printed, but still with good bright colours and clarity. Most kits included
a modest amount of etched detailing. Made in Australia
