Mini Cooper ATCC 1964/5 Neptune Racing
Neptune Racing ran cars in several classes in the ATCC during the 1960s and here we see the smallest of them. The base kit, as for many of Automodelli’s other recent releases, is from SMTS and was originally released many years ago as a Monte Carlo rally car. Automodelli’s additional instructions address the decoration and say that the early car ran on steel wheels and its replacement on Minilights. Only the earlier wheels are included in the kit but that’s the more interesting version visually anyway as the car was originally red and given a quick blow-over in blue, so the contrasting interior will really stand out.
