History was officially written at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya! At the 2026 Barcelona Grand Prix , on June 14, 2026, Lewis Hamilton got his first-ever Formula 1 victory driving for Scuderia Ferrari, after two years at Maranello.Scuderia Ferrari won its first season race with the British driver, who collected 106 victories in his career. Exactly 30 years ago, in 1996, Michael Schumacher won his first race with Ferrari at the Montmelo circuit. Hamilton, started from the first row in the grid, built the race with a perfect tire management and an excellent strategy. The key moment was the lap 40 when, due to an accident involving Alonso, the virtual safety car froze the overtakes. Hamilton opted for the last pit stop and, with the  tires in perfect conditions, he can resist to the chase of the Mercedes. Unfortunately his teammate Charles Leclerc suffered an hydraulic issue and was forced to retire when only 4 laps left. The Monegasque driver thanks to a determined attitude, achieved the 6th position, from the 10th position in the starting grid, before the mechanical failure.
