Peugeot 207 S2000 IRC 2009 Meeke 1:24 by Belkits
Strictly speaking this isn’t a new release as it’s been around for a few months, but as Belkits are new to us and it was their first release, we’re taking a look anyway. The moulding is very precise and in terms of shape the car looks very good. This is a kerbside kit but there is still a decent level of detail on the underside and there is plenty to get stuck into on the interior including the choice of etch and ribbon or decals for the seat belts. The kit looks to be very well thought out and the instructions consist of a series of CAD drawings which take us logically through assembly. The colour guide includes references for Tamiya, Humbrol and Revell colours which is handy, there are masks provided for precise painting of window frames and the decals are very clearly printed. Overall an impressive first kit and a decent subject, Kris Meeke winning both the Ypres Westhoek Rally that the car is modelled on and the championship.
