Rover-BRM Le Mans Test 1963 by Bizarre
The Rover-BRM gas turbine made its public debut at the Le Mans test weekend in 1962 and though the drivers had initially found the handling to their liking, on the very long straights at Le Mans a few shortcomings were discovered. The first was that the rear of the car became unstable at high speed and also the exhaust gasses were being pushed forward into the cockpit by turbulence. Both of these were rectified back at base with the addition of a full width spoiler and extended exhaust outlet respectively but the model shows something of an interim machine, with the spoiler but, correctly, not the chimney. The overall finish of the model is excellent with a suitably matt silver paint job to replicate the bare aluminium and the small details are all carefully applied.

About Bizarre
Very well finished resincast models with production by Spark. As the name suggests, originally the range picked up on some of the more unusual race cars from motoring history. More recently the range has been fully absorbed by Spark and is used for Speed Record and other more niche subjects. Made in China.
