Rolls Royce Phantom III Hooper 1938 by Carbone
Featuring Hooper’s patented removable metal roof over the driver’s compartment, at first glance this looks like a regular saloon but the real car could be opened up to create a Sedanca de Ville. It’s a well-documented machine and has remained relatively unmolested through its life, Hooper themselves giving it a light restoration to original specifications in the mid-50s. The crisp lines are neatly modelled, the car looking surprisingly light for such a large machine, helped by polished trims on the lower edges of the wheel arches which disguise the depth of the body in these areas. Nicely done.
