Hispano Suiza K6 Brandone Cabriolet 1935 by Carbone - Chromes
Brandone was a very small carrosserie based in Nice and all of their creations were one-offs created for a discerning and wealthy local clientele. They must also be one of the most successful in terms of concours prizes as a large number of their designs were awarded top honours at events up and down the French Riviera, this one scooping the prize in Cannes in 1936. There appear to have been subtle changes to the car made over the years and it is in its most graceful current form that we see the car modelled, with the front wings cut away behind the wheels and the chrome trim removed from the rear wheel spats. The flowing shape looks beautiful and the black paint has a very deep gloss on the model, contrasting smartly with the brightwork and tan interior.
