Peugeot 402 Eclipse Brandone by Evrat
The Peugeot 402 Eclipse was a joint project between amateur designer Georges Poulin, Peugeot agent Emile Darl'mat and couchbuilder Marcel Pourtout. Poulin's genius was the design of a powered retractable hard top and fewer than 600 cars were made. This example was modified in the late 1940s by Nice coachbuilder Brandone who modified the nose with a unique design. Two versions of the model are available, in pristine two-tone green with the roof closed, or as the car was unearthed a few years ago after many years in storage in a semi-derelict state with the roof half way through its travel. Both are very well finished and make for charming miniatures.
