The Brothers Rodriguez by Book
This huge volume tells the stories of two
of the most glamorous characters in motor
racing during the 1950s and 1960s, Pedro
and Ricardo Rodriguez. In their short lives
the two brothers’ raw talent and determination
was rewarded with drives in the best teams
alongside the top drivers of the day and they
scored many good results, becoming national
heros in their native Mexico and favoured
competitors by race fans around the World.
The author has exhaustively researched their
lives and we see more than four thousand
photographs in these six hundred pages, a
great many of which are from the family’s own
albums and archives. The supporting text is
well written and provides plenty of detailed
information regarding activities on and off track
(at least those that are printable). There are
individual race records for each of the brothers
and these show the huge varieties of events that took part in, from Grands Prix
to ice races. Fascinating stuff.
