Ferrari 246 Monaco 1959 #46 Behra by Jade Miniatures
With the relatively low speeds around Monaco, cooling was an issue for the Grand Prix cars of the 1950s and they often ran with shorter, more open noses as seen here. Jade have captured the truncated bodywork well and the general finish on the model, depicting Behra’s car which led before retiring, is good with just the right level of gloss. The cast intake trumpets under the neatly trimmed vacform aren’t great though, machined items would definitely be better given the otherwise high quality.

About Jade Miniatures
A well established range of well thought out kits and hand built models of competition cars, mostly from the golden era of the 1950s and 60s. The kits are generally pretty simple with well cast resin bodies, small numbers of resin and white metal ancillaries and a modest amount of etch. In the case of open wheeled subjects, the etch usually includes most or all of the suspension. Hand builts generally well finished. Made in France.
