Aston Martin DBR1 Le Mans 1956 #14 by Jade Miniatures
Le Mans 1956 saw the debut of Aston Martin’s new tube frame DBR1 sports-racer and in original form it was nowhere near as flowing in line as the cars that we are familiar with from the following years. Jade have captured the shape of the car pretty well and the main casting in their kit are very crisp with precise panel engraving. The tonneau cover is moulded in situ and marries up with the dash panel very neatly. This hand built model is finished to a high standard but the colour looks a little too green to us, these Aston colours are always tricky!

About Jade Miniatures
A well established range of well thought out kits and hand built models of competition cars, mostly from the golden era of the 1950s and 60s. The kits are generally pretty simple with well cast resin bodies, small numbers of resin and white metal ancillaries and a modest amount of etch. In the case of open wheeled subjects, the etch usually includes most or all of the suspension. Hand builts generally well finished. Made in France.
