Ferrari 625A UK 1955 by K & R Replicas
The British Grand Prix of 1955 saw Ferrari entering three of their 625s for Hawthorn, Castelotti and Trintignant with just one finishing, Hawthorn handing his car over to Castelotti after the Italian’s transmission failed. This was to be the last race for this car type as they were no match for the Mercedes or Maseratis. K&R’s kit offers any of the three cars as decal options and they were identical bar numbering. The shape of the main body casting looks pretty good, though a little clean up of some panel lines will be needed, especially around the front. This looks slightly fiddly but shouldn’t take long. The wire wheels are supplied in kit form and experience from our studio builders recently on these shows that carefully assembled and spray painted satin silver, they can be very effective.

About K & R Replicas
Well cast and easy to build, if rather crude, metal kits. Usually accurate though occasionally a bit odd. Wire wheels of the self - assembly type. Decals, when included, often slightly yellow (typical of many English makers) but will bleach with exposure to u.v. light. Now including a little more photo-etch. Made in England.
