Austin Healey Sprite Mk1 Rouen 1960 by K & R Replicas
These three kits are all built around the same core parts and we see a pretty well proportioned Sprite body cast with a separate hard top, a reasonable level of cockpit detail and kit form wire wheels. The separate roof will simplify the painting of the red and white works entered car of Moss from the Sebring Four Hours, a race for small engined sports cars in which he finished second. Paul Hawkins drove the Sprinzel prepared pale blue car at many races including the Nurburgring 1000kms. K&R also list him as the driver at Rouen but we can’t find him on an entry list, though Graham Hill does feature in a Sprite.

About K & R Replicas
Well cast and easy to build, if rather crude, metal kits. Usually accurate though occasionally a bit odd. Wire wheels of the self - assembly type. Decals, when included, often slightly yellow (typical of many English makers) but will bleach with exposure to u.v. light. Now including a little more photo-etch. Made in England.
