Jaguar C-Type Targa Florio 1953 Wisdom by K & R Replicas
Tommy Wisdom was Jaguar’s sole representative on the 1953 Targa Florio, driving the ex-streamlined car XKC011, now re-clothed in a standard body. The weather was awful and Wisdom was taking it steady but still lost a lot of time when he spun off the road after hitting the mud left by the shoes of spectators crossing! K&R’s kit is a familiar one to us and the shape of their C Type is very good. The louvres on the sides of the bonnet are a little exaggerated but the kits still build well. Wheels are in kit form with etched spokes, which is an improvement over the old cast items.

Well cast and easy to build, if rather crude, metal kits. Usually accurate though occasionally a bit odd. Wire wheels of the self - assembly type. Decals, when included, often slightly yellow (typical of many English makers) but will bleach with exposure to u.v. light. Now including a little more photo-etch. Made in England.
