Genie Mk8 3rd Riverside 200 Miles 1963 #166 Rodriguez by MEA Kit 43
Created by the now legendary Joe Huffaker, the first Genies were small capacity racers but with the Mk8 came Chevrolet V8 power to compete with the best in SCCA races. This rustic hand built depicts one of the early cars as driven to 3rd at Riverside by Pedro Rodriquez, the best result for the type.

About MEA Kit 43
An interesting range initially specialising in 1:43 motorcycles. The nature of the subjects and the size of many of the parts mean that these are best suited to those with good eyesight! Casting quality can be variable and this combined with the size puts them firmly in the 'for the experienced modeller' category.
Alongside the bikes are a number of Dakar raid subjects and early Lotus race cars, again offered as kits and hand builts. SPL series are hand built only and concentrate on very unusual race cars. Build quality is variable, basic and nowhere near the class leaders. They are usually presented in recycled Spark cases. Very interesting subject matter though.
Made in France.
