Hesketh 308B USA 1976 #24 Ertl by Modellismo 90
All three of these kits represent Harald
Ertl’s car at various points in the 1976
racing season and, as was common
with private entries in those days, the
livery changed more or less every
race. Here we see three significantly
different liveries and also quite a
variety in bodywork detail on the three
variants. Chronologically the US GP
West came first and Ertl was driving
a B specification car with large airbox
and low mounted rear wing, though he failed to qualify. By Germany he had
progressed to a 308D and did rather better, finishing eight in a high downforce
car with extra low mounted front and rear wings and in Japan he was also eighth
this time with more conventional wings on the car. All of the kits are based around
a cleanly cast resin body with a selection of resin, white metal and photo-etched
detail parts and clearly printed decals.

About Modellismo 90
Fairly simple to build, well cast and generally accurate kits with resin bodies, white metal ancillaries and a reasonable level of photo-etched detail. Most subjects are classic F1s but also a handful of rally cars and some transkits. Made in Italy
