Jaguar FT Coupe Bertone 1966 Metallic Blue by Matrix
Commissioned by the Italian Jaguar distributors the Tarchini family, the FT (for Ferruccio Tarchini) coupe was intended as a limited production model to be sold through the Italian Jaguar dealer network. The crisp coupe lines were Marcello Gandini's first work for Bertone and the body was mounted on a Jaguar 420 chassis. The plan had been to have the cars available across the Italian dealer network but in the end only two examples were built, the dark blue prototype and a green customer car, which was later repainted black. An interesting and unusual addition to any Jaguar or rare coachwork collection and very well made as usual from Matrix.

About Matrix
From the original creators of the Neo range, this resincast series offers a wide range of mostly road car subjects. Some are very familiar classics but we also see plenty of very rare and usual machines ranging from Maharajah's Rolls Royces to Citroen and Volvo limousines! Overall casting quality is excellent, paint finishes usually to a very high standard and plenty of fine etch used for small trim. Wire wheels on some subjects can be a little unconvincing but otherwise very consistent. Made in China.
