Austin Sheerline 125 Hearse by Oxford
Oxford provide very little information on this subject and we’re not really hearse experts, but searching through the photos on the Classic Hearse Register we think that the body is by Alpe & Saunders. The model certainly looks extremely like an example of their work that we’ve found with the pillarless rear coachwork hiding doors either side for the pall bearers to gain access to their seats. The model is quite simple in design, typical of Oxford, and is finished to a decent standard with an even black paint finish and some neat trim.

About Oxford
Traditional diecast models, mostly of historic British vehicles. Overall shapes and paint finishes usually excellent. Some of the smaller detailing such as wipers can be a little heavy and wire wheels are sometimes replicated with printed acetate discs. Price point is very low, so something has to give and with a few accessories they make excellent models. Made in China for the UK.
