Sunbeam Talbot 90 MkIIA 2nd Monte Carlo 1952 Moss by Oxford
Usually when we see the name Moss in relation to the Monte Carlo rally we think of Pat, but this car was driven by her older brother Stirling and he finished a very impressive second overall on his first attempt at the event. The cars used were more or less standard at the time and the basic shape of Sunbeam’s sporting saloon is fairly well captured here. As usual with Oxford, some of the smaller detailing is a little clunky, with plastic where etch would be better but for the money it’s not bad and the painted front corners of the wings seen on some of the night stages are a nice touch.

About Oxford
Traditional diecast models, mostly of historic British vehicles. Overall shapes and paint finishes usually excellent. Some of the smaller detailing such as wipers can be a little heavy and wire wheels are sometimes replicated with printed acetate discs. Price point is very low, so something has to give and with a few accessories they make excellent models. Made in China for the UK.
