Ferrari 625LM Le Mans 1956 #10/11/12 by Renaissance
Hand built available REN4356M10 #10 REN4356M11 #11 & REN4356M12 #12
Ferrari’s Le Mans campaign was led by these three prototype racers, combining the 500TR chassis with a 2.5 litre F1 derived four-cylinder engine and new bodywork. Car #11 crashed out in the first hour, #10 retired in the tenth hour with gearbox trouble but #12 soldiered on and finished third overall behind the far more powerful Jaguar and Aston Martin. The kit parts are fairly simple with a cleanly cast resin body and baseplate, a mix of resin and white metal for the ancillary parts and a modest amount of photo-etch. The shape of the vent behind the front wheel looks a little square to us, but this will be simple to reshape should you so wish. Otherwise it will be a very straightforward build, whichever option you choose.

About Renaissance
Excellent kits and conversion sets (for plastic) using resin bodies, white metal parts, lots of very fine photo-etching and good decals. Some castings need cleaning. Excellent instructions. Classic subjects (REN43 refs) are relatively simple builds, while the Integral series (RENI) of more modern subjects are a little more complex. Made in France
