AC Ace Bristol 17th Le Mans 1961 #28 Magne/Alexandrovitch by Renaissance
We saw this subject as a hand built from
Renaissance back in FSW 9/2008 and
completed it is very attractive. The kit
parts are well thought out and relatively
simple, with cleanly cast resin parts for
the body, hard top, seats and exhausts,
good wire wheels and plenty of etched
parts for the smaller details such as
the windscreen and side-screen frames, vents in the sides of the body and other
finishing touches. One thing to watch is that Renaissance’s initial information on
the model was incorrect regarding colours and the instructions give the wrong
body colours, the car should be pale blue with a dark blue roof as shown here
and not grey as stated on the parts list.

About Renaissance
Excellent kits and conversion sets (for plastic) using resin bodies, white metal parts, lots of very fine photo-etching and good decals. Some castings need cleaning. Excellent instructions. Classic subjects (REN43 refs) are relatively simple builds, while the Integral series (RENI) of more modern subjects are a little more complex. Made in France
