Porsche 917 1st Le Mans 1971 #22 Marko/van Lennep 1:18 by Spark
Porsche 917s have always been popular subjects for modellers and collectors alike and the short tailed machines which won Le Mans in 1970 and 1971 show key developments along the way. The 1970 machine of the Salzburg team has a flat rear deck, while the following year's Martini car featured stabilising fins. Beneath the tails of both cars there is plenty of visible mechanical detail and the cockpits are also well appointed, while from above as usual from Spark we see excellent paint and crisp decals.

About Spark
The range which changed the 1:43 model market and for which we coined the term 'resincast'. Resin rather than traditional diecast bodies mean that relatively short production runs can be made and what might be marginal subjects become viable. Quality is very consistent with plenty of fine etch used where necessary. A huge range is the result, covering all aspects of (mostly postwar) motorsport and a wide variety of road cars. We typically see around 30 new subjects released per month and pre-orders are strongly recommended. Made in China & Madagascar.
