Gulf Ford Gr8 1st Le Mans 1975 #11 Bell/Ickx 1:18 by Spark
In recognition of the ongoing oil crisis, the regulations for Le Mans in 1975 were heavily influenced by fuel economy and this saw many of the major manufacturers staying away. John Wyer’s team seized the opportunity and entered a pair of aerodynamic prototypes powered by detuned Cosworth engines and took first and third places, the Le Mans dream team of Ickx and Bell in the winning car. Spark’s model is well finished with just the right level of gloss and the painted orange sections match the decalled orange section perfectly. There’s plenty of fine etched detail both in the cockpit and on the smaller body fittings and, perhaps most importantly, the shape and placement of the decoration looks good.

About Spark
The range which changed the 1:43 model market and for which we coined the term 'resincast'. Resin rather than traditional diecast bodies mean that relatively short production runs can be made and what might be marginal subjects become viable. Quality is very consistent with plenty of fine etch used where necessary. A huge range is the result, covering all aspects of (mostly postwar) motorsport and a wide variety of road cars. We typically see around 30 new subjects released per month and pre-orders are strongly recommended. Made in China & Madagascar.
