The second consecutive victory at Le Mans for Ford’s chassis 1075 also marked the first of six wins in the race for Jacky Ickx. Spark’s model is generally well proportioned and the decoration is all neatly and accurately applied but as with their model of the previous year’s car (SPKLM068) the three-eared spinners on the wheels aren’t quite central and for some reason the hinged vent panels in the side windows have been omitted entirely. There are very neatly cut holes for them, but no flaps.

The range which changed the 1:43 model market and for which we coined the term 'resincast'. Resin rather than traditional diecast bodies mean that relatively short production runs can be made and what might be marginal subjects become viable. Quality is very consistent with plenty of fine etch used where necessary. A huge range is the result, covering all aspects of (mostly postwar) motorsport and a wide variety of road cars.
