Porsche 935K3 1st Le Mans 1979 #41 Ludwig/Whittington/Whittington by Spark

A very wet race at Le Mans in 1979 contributed to a very high retirement rate and among those cars withdrawn were most of the faster prototype cars, leading to a slightly unusual winner in the shape of the Kremer-Porsche K3 of Bill and Don Whittington and Klaus Ludwig. The K3 shape has been well captured and the general standard of build is good. The side windows are modelled slightly open and these help us to see a well detailed interior. Our only grips is slightly rough decals on the wheels of our sample. Nothing major.

About Spark

The range which changed the 1:43 model market and for which we coined the term 'resincast'. Resin rather than traditional diecast bodies mean that relatively short production runs can be made and what might be marginal subjects become viable. Quality is very consistent with plenty of fine etch used where necessary. A huge range is the result, covering all aspects of (mostly postwar) motorsport and a wide variety of road cars. We typically see around 30 new subjects released per month and pre-orders are strongly recommended. Made in China & Madagascar.
