Porsche 911SC Gr4 1st Mille Miglia 1981 1:24 by Arena
The majority of the parts in this kit are very crisply cast resin, with just a little white metal for the roll cage, exhausts and door handles, machined wheel rims and plenty of photo-etch for the smaller details. Many of the resin pieces have large feed tags to remove but there is very little flash and we’ve not spotted any bubbles in our sample kit. In typical Arena style, the instructions are largely generic for this and other Porsche kits and they include plenty of information on assembly of the interior and engine. No wiring is included, but there are clear pictures showing routing should you wish to add some. A simple two-tone blue and yellow paint finish will be needed, the red sections of the livery being included on the decals, and the finished model will certainly be an eye-catcher.

Accurate, well detailed resin kits with white metal ancillaries and excellent photo-etched details. Instructions sometimes slightly vague but normally adequate. Castings on some subjects can be a little rough but more recent releases have all been excellent. Due to the amount of etch, they can be quite fiddly to build but in experienced hands make excellent miniatures. Hand built models also available to order. Made in Italy.
