Porsche 911R Corsica 1968 #55/57/61 by Arena
We’re slightly confused on one of these
two kits. Both are based around very
similar parts to make the lightweight
911R and our reference sources
confirm that Elford finished third overall
on the Tour de Corse in such a car in
1967, so all’s well on the first one. In
1968, the race numbers offered in the
kit tally with the cars of Elford, Schuller
and Toivonen but the listings that we have show these cars to be 911S not 911R,
so some details will not be correct. The only photo that we have shows the front
end of one car and is inconclusive.

About Arena
Accurate, well detailed resin kits with white metal ancillaries and excellent photo-etched details. Instructions sometimes slightly vague but normally adequate. Castings on some subjects can be a little rough but more recent releases have all been excellent. Due to the amount of etch, they can be quite fiddly to build but in experienced hands make excellent miniatures. Hand built models also available to order. Made in Italy.
