Porsche 911S Gr4 Giro 1973 #456 by Arena
This pair, which finished in second and third positions on the Giro d’Italia, were sister team cars and though in different classes were very similar physically. The main bodyshells in each kit are identical and in Arena’s typical style are moulded with the bumpers and rear engine cover as separate pieces. The Group 5 car has a deep spoiler as part of its front bumper and the wheels are slightly larger and these are the main external differences that we can see. Both models will need a two tone paint finish and these are slightly different interpretations of a white and orange base scheme. The separate parts will simplify this to a degree, though there is still some masking to be done along nice crisp panel lines.

About Arena
Accurate, well detailed resin kits with white metal ancillaries and excellent photo-etched details. Instructions sometimes slightly vague but normally adequate. Castings on some subjects can be a little rough but more recent releases have all been excellent. Due to the amount of etch, they can be quite fiddly to build but in experienced hands make excellent miniatures. Hand built models also available to order. Made in Italy.
