Ferrari 308 Gr4 1st Mille Miglia 1983 by Arena
Looking through the winners tables of the Mille Miglia rally, Nicola Busseni was obviously a talented and versatile pilot winning the event in Porsches, a Lancia 037 and this Ferrari. Arena had already made the Porsches (ARE367 & ARE368) before having the idea to make a series of winners from this event. To be honest we were expecting an ex-Racing 43 metal kit base here but instead we find an extremely well cast and proportioned resin body with snug fitting base plate. Most of the other castings are also resin with the exception of the roll cage and exhausts in metal. There are machined wheel rims and, as usual in an Arena kit, plenty of photo-etched fine details.

About Arena
Accurate, well detailed resin kits with white metal ancillaries and excellent photo-etched details. Instructions sometimes slightly vague but normally adequate. Castings on some subjects can be a little rough but more recent releases have all been excellent. Due to the amount of etch, they can be quite fiddly to build but in experienced hands make excellent miniatures. Hand built models also available to order. Made in Italy.
