Lancia 037 1st Mille Miglia 1985 by Arena
For these two kits of the 037 we do see some Racing 43 parts, but it isn’t quite as straightforward as new decals with a Racing 43 metal kit. The base plate and interior parts are R43 metal and their instruction book is included to aid assembly of these and application of the etched parts. The bodies are cast in resin though to allow for a few detail tweaks and Arena have then added event specific decals and their own colour sheet to show the decoration. The 1984 car was Busseni’s fourth Mille Miglia winner and is simply decorated in white with a few sponsors, while the ‘85 machine is that of Tabaton with his dramatic black and gold Esso backing that has also appeared on his Lancia S4s and Integrales.

About Arena
Accurate, well detailed resin kits with white metal ancillaries and excellent photo-etched details. Instructions sometimes slightly vague but normally adequate. Castings on some subjects can be a little rough but more recent releases have all been excellent. Due to the amount of etch, they can be quite fiddly to build but in experienced hands make excellent miniatures. Hand built models also available to order. Made in Italy.
