De Tomaso Pantera Gr5 Giro 1975 #595 by Arena
De Tomaso Pantera Gr5 Giro d’Italia 1975 #595
Arena has used Scala 43’s Pantera as a core for their silhouette and Group 5 kits but with extensive modifications to the bodywork. This is apparently the first car built to Group 5 regulations by Sala and Marverti and was entered on the Giro for Parpellini and Tormene, who failed to finish. The bodywork has wide wheel arches and deep front splitter but hadn’t grown a rear wing... yet!

About Arena
Accurate, well detailed resin kits with white metal ancillaries and excellent photo-etched details. Instructions sometimes slightly vague but normally adequate. Castings on some subjects can be a little rough but more recent releases have all been excellent. Due to the amount of etch, they can be quite fiddly to build but in experienced hands make excellent miniatures. Hand built models also available to order. Made in Italy.
