De Tomaso Pantera Silhouette Giro dItalia/Vallelunga 1977
Slight confusion here as to what is a Group 5 and what is a Silhouette machine as the bodywork on this is near identical to the Gp5 machines, but for the hump in the centre of the engine cover onto which the rear wing mounts. Two decal options are included and mentioned on the packaging, the third placed car from the Giro and the same machine as it appeared at Vallelunga. You will need to go in search of photos for the latter though as the very basic instructions only show the Giro car. Micangeli & Pietromarchi were the drivers.

Accurate, well detailed resin kits with white metal ancillaries and excellent photo-etched details. Instructions sometimes slightly vague but normally adequate. Castings on some subjects can be a little rough but more recent releases have all been excellent. Due to the amount of etch, they can be quite fiddly to build but in experienced hands make excellent miniatures. Hand built models also available to order. Made in Italy.
