De Tomaso Pantera Gr5 Le Mans 1979 #35 Sala-Williams by Arena
De Tomaso Pantera Gr5 Le Mans 1979
The ultimate incarnation of the Pietromarchi/Micangeli Pantera saw the car with a much extended tail and painted in a rather unusual yellow, caramel and brown livery (it was the 70s!). The reason that the Le Mans car is offered in a separate kit is that there are extra vents above the wheels on this version. The castings are very clean and the tail section is impressively thin without the hint of any bubbles or weaknesses. Both kits share the same multi-option decal sheet and multiple etched frets, the later slightly confusing as not all parts are needed.

About Arena
Accurate, well detailed resin kits with white metal ancillaries and excellent photo-etched details. Instructions sometimes slightly vague but normally adequate. Castings on some subjects can be a little rough but more recent releases have all been excellent. Due to the amount of etch, they can be quite fiddly to build but in experienced hands make excellent miniatures. Hand built models also available to order. Made in Italy.
