Lancia Stratos Test 1972 Munari by Arena
Hand built available ARE848M
Ignoring the Zero concept car, this is the earliest prototype version of the Stratos and was used to test bodywork configurations. At the front it looks very familiar but for a pair of basic bolt-on lamps in place of the final pop-up headlights and the rear end has a slightly flatter deck which was fitted with small aluminium winglet either side. The one photo we’ve found is a rear 3/4 and this shows the model to be pretty accurate. For paint you will need to mask and paint the centre section bright red with the ends in bare aluminium.

About Arena
Accurate, well detailed resin kits with white metal ancillaries and excellent photo-etched details. Instructions sometimes slightly vague but normally adequate. Castings on some subjects can be a little rough but more recent releases have all been excellent. Due to the amount of etch, they can be quite fiddly to build but in experienced hands make excellent miniatures. Hand built models also available to order. Made in Italy.
