Tatra 201 Pickup 1950 Green by Autocult
Pickup Truck with No Future
Starting in 1948, the new Tatra passenger car was available from state car dealers in Czechoslovakia as the TATRA 600 or TATRAPLAN. The car was powered by an air-cooled, nearly two-liter, four-cylinder boxer engine cooled by a fan. The engine was located in the rear. When series production began, plans were made to launch variants of this model for commercial use that would also be powered by the Tatra 600 boxer engine. This series was listed in the type list under the abbreviation T 201. A pickup variant was also planned, but its engine was installed in the front due to the loading area. Very little written information about the prototype has been preserved, and, as far as we know, only a few photos and a rough sketch of the side view with the most important key data exist. Given this sparse information, we can only speculate as to why the T 201 was not approved for production. Its history is equally unclear; the only thing certain is that it no longer exists.

About Autocult
A relatively new maker of very well finished resincast models, established in 2015. Very imaginative choice of subjects, often concentrating on the more eccentric episodes in motoring history! Production limited to 333 pieces of each subject, which often means that we get one delivery and that is it, so pre-orders strongly recommended!! Made in China for Germany.
